I started my medical career back in 2001 as a USAF Distinguished Graduate in radiological sciences. Imaging the human body taught me two things: anatomy is my jam, and people are endlessly fascinating. I went on to earn my BS in Human Biology, because when I’m obsessed, I go all in.
In 2012, I graduated from UMSL with my BSN. From there, I dove into emergency medicine, then shifted into acute psychiatric and corrections nursing—fields that taught me grit, empathy, and how to stay calm when absolutely nothing is calm. I stepped into the world of aesthetic injecting in 2018 with a nationally known medical spa, where I sharpened my skills, refined my style, and realized that the “cookie cutter” model was… not my vibe.
So in the summer of 2023, I opened Altered Ego Aesthetics with the simple goal of paving my own road. I wanted a place where I could be fully myself and build a community of like-minded souls who appreciate authenticity over assembly-line beauty. You won’t get the typical med spa experience here. No identical lips on every face. No pressure tactics. No rushed appointments. And absolutely no artificial price-inflation followed by “never-ending sales” you need a spreadsheet to track. I keep my pricing fair, transparent, and grounded in the belief that great aesthetic care shouldn’t feel like a luxury tax.
I’m a lifelong learner through and through, so staying up-to-date with the latest, safest, and most diverse aesthetic techniques isn’t just important—it’s my love language. I regularly attend out-of-state trainings and conferences (preferably near a beach, because sunshine is my second religion). And every time I come back, I try to bring a little bit more of that brightness to the Midwest.
